Dear Ms. Greene: I expect this is only one of thousands of notes you've received in the days since 'the magazine whose name dare not be spoken' dismissed you. Bad enough that they reduced your presence years ago, but now, this? Inexcusable. Simply no way to treat the woman who introduced the word 'supernal' to my vocab. You must know that your line 'my taste buds jumped up and kissed my brain' still ranks among the most oft-repeated phrases among my circle, how many years on! We've applied it variously to meals at the French Laundry and to the perfect street vendor pretzel!
